Sports Massage focuses on deep work to flush out toxins caught in muscle fibers, eliminate adhesions, and reduce scar tissue buildup. Muscle lengthening also helps to restore range of motion and general flexibility. Sports massage also facilitates the rebuilding phase of muscle conditioning. Improved circulation can lead to better cell nutrition, normalization, and greater elasticity of muscle fiber, deactivation of trigger points and faster healing of injuries.
There are four different types of Sports Massage:
Pre-Event: This Massage complements the warm up process and
helps with pre-event nervous tension. A pre-event massage can help
heat the muscles, reduce excess muscle tension and create a sense of
psychological readiness. A session scheduled up to two days
prior to the event can serve these purposes. |
