Introduction

Neurology is the branch of medicine dealing with the nervous system, its structure and its diseases. Since  the nervous system has effects on all other organ systems, injury or disease of the nervous system can have many different effects on the body.

Neurologists often work with a variety of other healthcare providers. Some may be medical doctors, such as  orthopedists and physical therapists. Therapy choices must be based not only on the condition but the patient's preferences.
