Federation of Indian NGOs for Drug Abuse Prevention

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
In the view of the concerns expressed in the preamble and the need to deal effectively, the FINGOs shall achieve the following objectives:-

The development of collaborative and fruitful interactions among non-governmental organisations regionally and internationally to identify the need based services and implement diversified programmes to prevent and control drug abuse with ultimate aim to achieve a drug free society.

The development of a shared monitoring and communication system for collection and collation of drug abuse information and research data for efficient analysis and dissemination for members and other concerned organizations.
The mobilization of necessary resources need to support FINGOs activities.

The attainment of concerted action among member organisations and peoples in the fight against drug and substance abuse including the promotion of communication and education for its prevention, reduction and rehabilitation.

The organising of regional and international conferences, seminars, training, workshops etc. to further the understanding of and to resolve the problem of drug and substance abuse.

The promotion of cooperation and collaboration between governmental organisations and non-governmental organisations at state, regional, national and international level.To provide accommodation and secretarial facilities to all its member organisations at New Delhi.

To coordinate NGOs concerns and problems with Ministry of welfare and if needed with other allied Ministries of Government of India.

To form state level NGOs forum in every state/ UTs in IndiaTo work for the uniformity in the policies and programmes at the state as well as at the central level.

All the income, earnings, moveable, immovable properties of the society shall be solely utilized and applied towards the promotion of its aims and objectives only as set forth in the Memorandum of Association and no profit on there of shall be paid or transferred directly or indirectly by way of dividends, bonus, profits or in any manner whatsoever to the present or past members of the society shall have any personal claim on any moveable or immovable properties of the society or make any profits, whatsoever by virtue of his membership.
