While industrialization has its plus points there are also its minus points like pollution and the effect it has on our bodies particularly our skin. Having an oil body massage is known to have beneficial effects on the body. Very often however it is not possible to go to a professional masseur and one can do it with the help of servant. This book is definitely for those who want to have a scientific massage.

In the book V. Nanal elaborates what being healthy in Ayurveda means. A historical background of how the practice of massage started is given. He then goes on to describe what our skin exactly is and the kind of massage is necessary for various skin types. The various properties of the different kinds of oil used for massage are also dealt with at length. Which type of person will benefit from which oil and massage is also given.

Detailed information about how a proper scientific massage should be administered so that it will be beneficial to a person is also outlined. Appropriate sketches to indicate the right points on the body to be massaged as well as some photographs showing the correct way of going about a massage are also included in the book.
