Free surgeries for knee replacement
A 50-member team of surgeons, anaesthetists, intensivists and support members from the US are at the Kashibai Navle medical college from Jan 9 to 17 to perform 60 total-kneereplacement surgeries freeof-cost (implant and medication included). The surgeries will be part of the ‘Operation Walk Chicago’, a private non-profit medical organisation that provides knee replacements to underprivileged patients, besides educating healthcare professionals on advanced treatments for these conditions.
