The Symbiosis Centre of Health Care (SCHC) on Saturday held its XII National Seminar on Hospital / healthcare Management and Medico Legal Systems at Hinjewadi Symbiosis InfoTech Campus . At the seminar, experts expressed the view that there was a need to focus attention on the legal and statutory regulations governing various processes of the healthcare industry.

With its consistently increasing contribution to the national GDP and expansion as an employment opportunity for millions, the health care sector is evolving into a major driver of the national economy.

SCHC has identified a number of important subjects for debate and discussions by prominent industry leaders who will also interact with the delegates at open sessions, stated a release.

The two–day seminar covered areas like the challenges, elucidations and policies related to the healthcare industry. Friday’s session was the pre–conference symposium on ‘ Best Practices in Healthcare’.

DrPreetha Reddy, managing director, Apollo Group of Hospitals; Mr Abhay Gandhi CEO, Sun Pharma, Mr V Raja, president and CEO GE Healthcare, Dr GSK Velu, chairman of Manufacturing Association of India, Dr Rakesh Kapoor, partner–E & Y Pvt. Ltd and Dr Rajiv Yeravdekar, dean, Faculty of Health Sciences, SIU participated. Yeravdekar, dean, Faculty of Health Sciences delivered his talk by using 10 commandments of management principles .
