Say no to Drugs

I , Mrs.Rekha Rajiv Joshi was married in 1982.  During this period I was unaware of what addiction is as my father and brother did not drink 2-3 years after marriage Rajiv came home one evening and said that has to go for a party and will be late tonight I had never earlier heard about the party.

This night he was late and slept in the hall then after 5 years we were transferred to Ghodegaon and thereafter to Vadgaon. Here his alcohol intake increase.  I was innocent and could not control him, for last 18 years he is drinking.

Now he felt drinking is affecting his health and concluded that he had no other alternative to Muktangan, he was making up his mind for six months then on 22nd April 1999, he was admitted at Muktangan Deaddiction Center.

During the parents meeting Mrs.Mukta madam and Baba Avchat gave a talk which had a deep impact on us they said (drinking alcohol addiction) is a disease first change yourself and than others I accepted this and tried to control my egoistic nature my only aim was bring Rajiv out of his addiction.

Muktangan has helped us a lot they gave me positive support, then the counseling Center had  group meetings, marriage counseling, couple counseling I attended all these meetings regularly.

In this was for 8 months our life was very nice and happy but on 27th January evening 6 pm I received Rajivs call saying I am drunk and waiting near shaniwarwada for sometime.  I felt lost and was unable to think but I did not get excited and without getting angry explained him he replied that he wanted to drink and drank, I did not say anything to him that night but from next day we explained him so many times he was reluctant to listen.  During this period he suffered a lot and had two attacks but still he did not listen then we consulted with the counsellors of Muktangan  and today I have readmitted him for 15 days treatment.

I faced all these incidents with confidence because of Muktangans support.  I have accepted that addiction is a disease and I have gained the strength to fight against this disease from Muktangan.
