The website provides complete details of all government doctors–name, place of posting, stay at particular station and their specialties
Now, information about doctors, specialist surgeons and various healthcare services available in the government hospitals in Jammu and Kashmir is easily available thanks to a website recently launched by the state government.
The site, a first of its kind in the state was launched by the state Health Minister Sham Lal on Wednesday.
The website aims to provide complete details of the government doctors including their name, place of posting, stay at particular station, retirement age and their specialties.
The department is also in the process of making available the details of other cadres of the health department online, on the same format.
“This initiative will also help make the department’s transfer policy transparent,” the Minister said adding that the information will enabling the state government mobilise manpower during emergency situations and ensure the availability of appropriate healthcare professionals at the remotest corner of the state.
The state’s Health Services Director and the associated nodal officers will be updating the website on a daily basis, the department has also put in place a decentralised mechanism for information upgradation for the same.
