It’s time to bid adieu to plastic surgeries for symmetrization of your face. Now, you can look gorgeous in just half an hour.

Dr Debraj Shome, consultant facial plastic surgeon and head of the Institute of Aesthetic Surgery at Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad, has carried out a non–surgical facial symmetrization procedure, using the latest injectable filler – Juvederm Voluma.

"The non–surgical facial symmetrization was done on American national Melinda Carey, 46, who had laughter lines and asymmetrical cheek bones. She did not want surgery, therefore, the newly invented filler was used. The fillers were injected on the face and in 30 minutes, the procedure was complete," said Dr Shome.

The filler has to be injected with precision as the face may look worse or have lumps if it’s one millimetre off from the target location. "I could join work in two days after the procedure. If I had undergone a surgery, I would have had to stay back home for over a month. I never had problems in chewing food after the procedure," said a visibly elated Melinda.

And the good news is, one needs to spend just Rs 40,000 for the entire procedure. "The person should take another injection, which is mildly painful, after one–and–a–half years. This is because Juvederm Voluma gets absorbed in the tissues and needs to be injected again," added Shome.
