Medical personnel at Holy Spirit hospital in Andheri attended a course on handling disasters that involved mass casualties and mobilisation of hospital resources. United Way Mumbai Helpline in partnership with the hospital and Life Supporters Institute of Health Sciences conducted the twoday training of staffers. It primarily focused on how the hospital is required to shift gears in the face of an emergency and cut down on morbidity. The course is also meant to help hospital staffers think logically through mitigations, preparedness, response and be extra cautious with hospitals themselves becoming a target of terrorism.
