International Diabetes Federation
Over 1065 monuments worldwide were lit in blue on November 14 to mark World Diabetes Day. The monuments were lighting to Bring Diabetes to Light as part of the global World Diabetes Day Monument Challenge created by the International Diabetes Federation (IDF). The Pyramids, Sphinx, London Eye, Christ the Redeemer in Brazil, Niagara Falls, Tower of London, Kuwait Towers, Coliseum and the Burj al Arab were just some of the monuments that lit.
