Twelve advanced laparoscopic live surgeries in one day. BGS Global Hospitals and Bangalore Endoscopic Surgery Training Institute & Research Centre have organized it as part of their 10th fellowship course and live workshop on laparoscopic surgery.
The four–day programme of lectures and a wide range of live minimal invasive surgeries, covering the latest and advanced operative procedures, will have around 100 doctors participating.
The workshop’s organizing chairman, head of GI, MIS and Bariatric Surgery, BGS Global Hospitals, Dr M Ramesh said: "The cream of surgeons will update participants who are practising surgeons from different parts of the country on the latest technology available in minimal invasive surgery."
Through such courses, there is standardization of knowledge and expertise following which the National Association of Laparoscopic Surgeons gives fellowship by the Indian Association of Gastrointestinal Endosurgeons. This is the 10th such programme being organized in the country and the first in Karnataka," said Dr Ramesh. He is also the director of BEST Institute.
