Now Punietes can rate the quality of healthcare being provided by any private hospital in the city. Pune Rugna Hakka Samiti has launched a first–of–its kind online survey for patient’s right.
The survey is aimed at observing the patient’s rights in private hospitals in the city so that patients can express their opinion.
In a press release, the convenor of Pune Rugna Hakka Samiti, has informed that citizens can now express their opinion about their overall satisfaction and observance of patient’s rights in private hospitals with the help of this survey.
The survey includes questions like whether patient was explained the diagnosis and nature of the illness, common complications that can arise out of the treatment, estimated cost (right to information); whether patient’s right to seek second opinion, right to access medical records, right to privacy and confidentiality were respected and whether informed consent was obtained during potentially hazardous treatment like surgery.
The Samiti has appealed to all citizens to visit the blog patientrightsindia.blogspot.com and fill the survey questionnaire.
